Project Car: 1994 Acura Integra Sedan

January 1, 2010

The project started after speaking with Peter Tarach of Modified Magazine at the SEMA IAS show in Philadelphia, 2006. Modified Magazine was looking for a new project car since my Scion tC was getting wrapped up. I threw around the idea of building an Integra sedan, something I had personally wanted to do my entire life. At that time my intentions were mainly to throw on a JDM front end, K-series swap and your basic suspension/bolt-on mods and to make a fairly fun driver out of it. But once the project started it pretty much spiraled out of control becoming a huge money pit and ultimately a show car with hopes of hitting the track at some Time Attack events.

Project Car: 1999 Honda Civic Si

January 1, 2010

I picked up the '99 Civic Si back in late February of 1999 as my first car. It was one of the first Electron Blue ones out and after much debate back and forth on whether or not I wanted a GS-R, I decided on a Civic mostly because of the return of the Si and I figured at the very least it wouldn't be as common as a GS-R or another typical Civic. Looking back at some of the photos of the car it's pretty entertaining and humorous to see what all I did to it back in the day. The photos are pretty bad quality since back then all I had was a Kodak DC200 digital camera. Pretty sure it was maybe a single megapixel. I took a lot of actual film photos that I scanned in but they were all resized.

Project Car: 2004 Infiniti G35 Coupe

January 1, 2010

Probably ranked second out of all the cars I have owned, the Infiniti G35 6MT provided a great blend of performance and luxury.  Nothing beat the natural note of the VQ35 and just how nicely balanced everything was on the car.  Unfortunately I didn't keep it for very long since I moved to California and didn't bring it with me, but while I had it I threw on a few mods to it making it a nicer daily driver.  I didn't want to go overboard on the car, so it just got a nice OEM front lip, a few set of wheels including the first set of 20-inch Volk Racing GT-Cs in Diamond Black ever, and a GReddy SP2 axle-back exhaust while lowered on TEIN S-Tech springs.

Project Car: 2007 BMW 335i

January 1, 2010

Once I had started building several project cars, I knew it was only a matter of time before I did a European build. When BMW's 335 first came out, it caught my attention since I had always wanted an E46 M3 but didn't quite want to buy a used one and didn't really want to throw the money towards a new one. So the 335 was a great option, especially with the performance from the factory twin turbo setup. Most of the inspiration for the project came from my past cars, with a clear influence of what I had done in the past with other cars.
